Meet Linda

Hi! I’m Linda Tillotson, founder and owner of The Pilates House by Linda, LLC.

My journey with Pilates began in 2006, when I was searching for a way to strengthen my core, ease my lower back pain, and improve my overall well-being. I wanted a fitness routine that felt good—something I’d actually look forward to. From my very first class, I was hooked. Pilates transformed the way I move, feel, and live—and I can’t imagine my life without it!

After practicing for two years, my passion for Pilates grew into a desire to share its benefits with others. That’s when I began my instructor training and truly stepped into my calling as a teacher.

My Training

I completed my comprehensive Pilates Instructor Certification through the Balanced Body® Education Program, which honors the traditions of Joseph Pilates while integrating modern movement science.

My extensive 500+ hours of education included anatomy, movement principles, and specialized training in:

  • Mat

  • Reformer

  • Chair

  • Trapeze Table / Cadillac / Tower

  • Ladder Barrel & Arc

  • Small Equipment

Through Balanced Body, I learned not only the exercises themselves but also how to tailor each movement to meet the unique needs of every client.

I also bring over 10 years of experience as a studio owner and instructor, helping clients of all fitness levels move better and feel stronger.

Certifications

  • Balanced Body® Comprehensively Trained Pilates Instructor (all equipment)

  • Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) via the National Pilates Method Alliance (NPMA)

  • Certified Extend Barre Instructor
